When Vax Gives Back (EpiVax’s Charitable Giving Committee), was selecting organizations to support for September ’17, we wanted to identify a cause that would improve our local community in a meaningful way.
The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC), committed to the restoration and preservation of the Woonasquatucket River Watershed area, and to the development and enrichment of local youth programs, became an obvious choice for us.
During the month of September, EpiVax employees were honored and excited to take part in multiple WRWC volunteer events: a clean-up project to help beautify Merino Park with a mural painting; and the Woony River Ride, where we showed our support by riding 10, 30, and even 60-miles to raise money for WRWC initiatives.
EpiVax was proud to support the WRWC with donations of both money and manpower. Both events proved to be rewarding and fun; a truly great experience for all participants!
