Translational Immunology Research and Accelerated [Vaccine] Development program (TRIAD)

We would like to invite you to apply to the TRIAD workshop on Neglected and Emerging Infectious Disease Vaccines Design Toolkit & Training. The workshop will be held for two weeks from January 5-16, 2015 at the Institute for Immunology and Informatics (iCubed) at the University of Rhode Island’s Providence Campus.

The workshop’s cost is $2500. This will cover transportation, accommodation and food for the fellows.

Fellows will train for two weeks at iCubed and then return to their home institutions with continued support to sustain their projects through the traineeship period. The training at iCubed will include intensive, hands on immunoinformatics and vaccinology core cirriculum and well as bench-based immunology training. For more information, please see https://immunome.org/.

We plan to select six fellows and selection will be based on the applicant’s current involvement in research on neglected tropical diseases, prior doctoral or equivalent training in immunology or a related area in the vaccine development field and substantial commitment from the applicant’s home institution to their future research career. The fellows will be expected to generate data and publications after the training, and to submit grants for research using the TRIAD toolkit.

Invited guest lecturers include:

-Professor Maria Botazzi Baylor College of Medicine
-Professor Cornelia Trimble Johns Hopkins Medicine
-Professor Daniel Hoft Saint Louis University Center for Vaccine Development
