Immunogenicity Risk Assessment: In Silico, In Vitro, and What’s Next

Don’t Miss This one!

Put this one on your calendar: Scientific and Regulatory Considerations for Assessment of Immunogenicity Risk … The gang will all be thereSophie Tourdot! Vibha Jawa! Eric Pang! Daniella Verthelyi! and the topics are on target: Adaptive immunogenicity risk assessment…in silico and in vitro approaches; Innate immuno-genicity risk assessment … (IIRMI) assays; Immunogenicity risk assessment of host cell protein contaminants; and Alternative models for immunogenicity risk assessment!

Registration here: FDA/CRCG Conf. And while I have your attention, please take a look at our latest Immunogenicity publication (In Silico / In vitro Case Study) here.

How are you Feeling?

Honestly, I am feeling very positive right now. The wind is blowing in the right direction for my beetlecat sailboat, summer is happening, and there is hope in the airI feel good! How about you?

Maybe it’s because I just got back from Bamako, Mali, where I helped to organize a conference on Telemedicine (supported by GAIA VF and the US Embassy in Bamako) and met a new friend: Dr. Nene Kante of ASACOBA. She who showed me her “Telemedicine Glasses” (a.k.a Lunettes Magiques) when I visited her primary health care clinic in Banconi, Bamako. More pictures of my trip here

It was great to see the work being done to expand access to care through ‘digitalization’ in Mali. There’s a lot going on but, the Mali is ahead of the game, if you want my frank opinion!

Meanwhile, back at home, the Epi-Team is growing (we’re now 48 people!) having been joined by enthusiastic new analysts (check out their LinkedIn profiles). Our new CEO Rich-Henry Shabowsky and Guilhem Richard, the new Head of Innovation and Technology at EpiVax, are working to integrate AI into ‘EpiVax 2.0‘. We just celebrated our annual “Lab Day at the Beach” check out the pictures here

Yes, it is true! I love to travel and perhaps more important, I am/we are fortunate to have good friends everywhere in the world. I am especially excited about meetings (and reconnections with friends) coming up this fall. We’ll be in Tokyo and Amsterdam per usual, as well as Stockholm and Basel. Here’s a link to the list of conferences that we’re attending. See you there!

AI / HI Workshop Recap

A big Thank You! to all who joined us in Providence for the first-ever Artificial Intelligence / Human Intelligence & Immunoinformatics Workshop! We had a strong turnout for this two-day event, at which we discussed the use of Generative AI in biologics development and also discussed the impact of the rise of AI and ML in biotechCouldn’t make it? We have some of the slides presented by our expert speakers available for you! Find them here(And don’t worry, it is highly likely that we will repeat the event next June! 😉

You can see photos from the event here. 👈️

If you want to find out more why I was in Mali, West Africa in July, please go to GAIAVaccine.org. You can also read about our Cervical Cancer prevention project (yes it involves a vaccine) in Mali here.

Be Well! Stay Happy! Never stop moving!
