The non-profits featured below are selected each quarter by our EpiVax employees, as part of our efforts to support the good work of community partners around Providence, Rhode Island

GAIA Vaccine Foundation 

Mission: GAIA Vaccine Foundation’s mission is to reduce the incidence of infectious diseases that disproportionately affect the under-served and promote the development of globally relevant, globally accessible vaccines that can be distributed on a not-for-profit basis in the developing world.

 

 

AIDS Care Ocean State

Mission: AIDS Care Ocean State is dedicated to providing quality housing, case management, medical and nursing care, and prevention to adults, families, adolescents and children who are affected by or at risk for HIV infection. AIDS Care Ocean State will act as an advocate for individuals and families at risk while providing those support services needed to ensure and maintain a high quality of life for the people we serve.

 

National Multiple sclerosis (MS) Society

Mission: We will cure MS while empowering people affected by MS to live their best lives.

 

 
 
 

Hasbro Children’s Hospital Heroes Ball

Mission: The Heroes Ball pays tribute to our courageous children and the remarkable caregivers who change lives through research, innovation, compassion, and excellence in care.

 

Paws Watch

Mission: PawsWatch is an all-volunteer, non profit organization dedicated to helping Rhode Islanders provide spay/neuter and vaccinations for neighborhood feral cats.

 

 

Providence Promise

Mission: Providence Promise promotes high educational aspirations and more equitable opportunities for Providence Public School and Charter School students by advocating for college savings accounts and family engagement, increasing financial literacy, and reducing the financial burden of higher education.

 

Every Child Fund (Miles for Miracles)

Mission: Aimee Mattei from the EpiVax Bioinformatics team will be running the 2021 Boston Marathon as part of the Boston Children’s Hospital Miles for Miracles Charity team. Aimee’s daughter Ellie is an official patient partner, and Aimee and Ellie are raising awareness of anaphylactic food allergies. Go Aimee and Ellie!

Our Vax Gives Back committee will be selecting new organizations each quarter.
